Today I spent a few hours with the BJ Levis and Brent Priddy from Louisville Metro Parks Adaptive Leisure Activities division. We collaborated about ways to inform the public about their current programs, and promote new ones. I hope they'll be instrumental in helping me launch a Junior Miss Wheelchair Kentucky program.
They're looking for creative ways to spread the word to wheelchair users, young and old that adapted leisure programs are open to all. Look for more wheelchair basketball and tennis offerings after the first of the year.
